Back from Hiatus

I am shaking this blog awake after more than 2 years of hibernation. And what better time to do this than Spring? So many things have happened since my last post. Gab is now 6 years old but no less fiercely stubborn as when she was a toddler. Now I don't have any more excuses when she engages herself in a temper tantrum. Can't blame it on the terrible twos. Or threes. Oh, I still do manage to blame it on her not getting enough sleep the night before. Hmm... a 6-year-old insomniac. The truth is she carries the passionate, intense, hot-headed gene.

Of course that's not evident on the picture posted here. When she goes flying off the handle, my first thought isn't exactly: 'I've got to document this!' We both ride it out in however way we can. And just be glad it's over when it's over.

Her father puts it this way: We don't have a French bulldog. We have a Jack Russel Terrier.

Well, there's a nice preview into the kind of parents we are, comparing our kid to a breed of dog. :-) Seriously, if you get it, you get it. And if you don't... then you don't. It's okay. Not everyone understands dogs. Or children. Or both. I have had a dog whom I loved very much and I have a child whom I love a lot more. And I understand neither. One thing with loving, comprehension is not a requisite.
